Structure Calculation Engineer
Quintus Technologies is the global leader in high-pressure technology. The company designs, manufactures, installs, and supports high-pressure systems in three main areas: densification of advanced materials, sheet metal forming, and high-pressure processing for food and beverage innovation, safety, and shelf life. Quintus has delivered over 1,900 systems to customers within industries including energy, medical implants, space, aerospace, automotive, and food processing. The company is headquartered in Västerås, Sweden, with a presence in 45 countries worldwide.
At Quintus Technologies, you will play a vital role in developing some of the world’s most advanced high-pressure vessels through your expertise in structural calculations.
As a Structure Calculation Engineer, you will be responsible for advanced structural calculations in Quintus projects and for certifying the final design. Using in-house developed software, you will perform calculations on components such as cylinders, frames, and chassis, as well as dimension the furnace mantle, which can be subjected to pressures exceeding 6,000 bar.
This is a broad role with extensive internal and external contacts. You will ensure that theory aligns with practice by reviewing geometric measurements on frames and pressure vessels at customer sites, and by providing expert support to production and quality departments in case of deviations.
ASME and PED are key standards for pressure equipment. Quintus has long been influential in the ASME committee, which is responsible for ensuring and certifying the use of pressure vessels in the American market. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to this forum.
The tools and programming languages used include in-house developed solutions along with Ansys Mechanical, Fortran, and Python.
You will work alongside engineers in Engineering, Product Management, Commissioning, and Production to ensure successful system deliveries.
In this role, you will report to Manager Calculation & Furnace, Jakob Fyhrman.
